NL Fracking Waste Ban passed!
On Monday, March 6, New London City Council passed a Fracking Waste Ban ordinance by a 5–2 vote, with Councilors Nolan, Venditto, Richardson, Dominguez and Marx in support, and Tranchida and Satti opposed.
Download New London's new ordinance. Efforts continue to support fracking bans in nearby communities, and there is a proposed bill in Hartford, HB-6329, that would enact more stringent and permanent protections on the state level.
